The Commercialisation Australia program is the Federal Government's new innovation grant funding program. It aims to provide a practical hands-on approach to funding the commercialisation of a new product, process or service.

We believe that there are significant 'first mover' opportunities given the youth of the program. As $196 million will be available over the first four years of the program, there may also be benefits to applying sooner rather than later.

At this session we aim to provide some clarity about the new grant program, including:

   • what benefits are available?
   • who should apply?
   • how to apply?
   • what are the similarities and differences to the prior Commercial Ready
   • grant scheme?

Andrew Dean has been with the PricewaterhouseCoopers R&D Incentives team for over a year. Prior to this, he was a case manager with AusIndustry for
3 years, where he assessed over forty Commercial Ready grant applications.

Kathleen Burgess-Brine has been working in the R&D Incentives team within PricewaterhouseCoopers for three years. She has worked extensively to assist clients to optimise their benefits under the R&D Tax Concession. She has also been involved in the preparation of successful grant applications under the Commercial Ready grant scheme.
